A Bit About Me
Hi my name is Kylie and I'm a registered counsellor and group facilitator, passionate about supporting people to navigate life's challenges and transitions. Using a holistic person-centred approach, I provide confidential support to adults where we build trust together within a safe and non-judgemental space. I also facilitate domestic abuse psychoeducation groups, and volunteer in breast cancer support groups and retreats and as a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), I adhere to their code of ethics, practice and professional development.
Coming to therapy is a sign of strength not weakness, as it shows you recognise there is something holding you back in life and you are ready to work through it to pursue a more fulfilling life. I am here to help you achieve that at your own pace. It is a privilege to be present with clients as they share with me, and one I cherish.
I can help you work through issues like anxiety, depression, cancer, chronic illnesses, and grief and loss, helping you develop your own understanding of your personal situation. I can assist you in building your own resilience and empower you to live authentically.
As a breast cancer survivor I acutely know that life is too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. My personal cancer experience made me re-assess my life resulting in me transitioning from my 20-year corporate marketing career to become a counsellor. We spend a considerable amount of time attending to our physical health, especially during illness, often neglecting our mental health.
When I'm not working you'll find me at the beach, enjoying time with family and friends, and thinking about my next chocolate fix!
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and I wish you good health and fulfilment in your life.
